Star dust that we are, insignificant specks.
Insignificant -
in schemes wondrous, that nature has ruled.
For the sun to rise, set and rise again;
for the earth to turn around, for the moon to shine;
for the stars to twinkle, for the clouds to sail;
for the rains to drop, and for the earth to quench!
The rainbow to regal;
and the birds to chirp, in ecstasy and freedom.
for the beasts of the jungle and the little ones of the woods;
and all that small and beautiful!
For the streams to flow into rapids and beyond;
for the trees ,and the mountains that outlived.
the oceans to churn and for the fishes too!
for seasons to part, flowers to bloom;
Where do we in the scheme of things stand?
Yet, to know what we are, look yonder to the skies,
by night ,and at the stars up above, wonder
and be aware, star dust we are and insignificant too.

Wooohhooo! Super!!
How insignificant we are; yet how complex we have made ourselves.
Liked the idea behind the message.
Just a speck. And with what arrogance, what false pride we carry ourselves day by day. Beautifully written. Absolutely beautiful!
Dey, What is this? WOW! :)
@ Insignia
Thank you
Good to know the idea was conveyed.

Dey if you mean it then that is my day!!
No confrontation…
But let me tell you, I have studied plato, aristotle, Descartes, kant, Schopenhauer and so many of them…I was a student of philosophy…maybe that’s why my thoughts are fidgety!! Almost all of them give at least one convincing point but the one following gives something better or different…and it goes on..
I just read the first line of your poem and stopped :P else I would feel like go on in the same frame of mind…maybe some other day.. haha
beautiful lines..
u know y we are significant? we are the only kind who can muse at the beauty of nature and sigh!
Great lines, so well expressed.

Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."(Alice in Wonderland).
The matter might be that you have much of these guys in your head.I haven't studied philosophy, and I do not know if that has helped or is a limitation.

Hm Dogs do that . They sometimes look up at the night sky. Dont know what they think or wonder
I have learned a little, just a little, that brews all the trouble for me… and that makes me ask why alice did ask that question and not some other question, how she responded to the cat… did her journey end there…Was she a somnambulist? Maybe she needs to wake up… all of us need to… esply me!!!!!!!!
I don’t know…. Maybe I m a mind full of questions…. And u got some answers by the way… :)
@ deeps
Dear friend ,
who has learnt much? If someone thinks so it is out of foolish hubris. don't you agree?
Questions have to be asked if not answers may not be refined. being afraid to ask questions is timidity.
And the search for answers continues..........!
